Rhinelander Masonic Lodge #242 F&AM, in association with the
American Cancer Society will hold the 2nd annual “Walk for a Cure”
on Saturday May 21, 2011.
The walk,
will begin at the Rhinelander Masonic Lodge on Davenport Street, and
will end at the Wausau Masonic Lodge on 1st Street. The
walk will take place in a 24 hour period over a distance of
65-miles, and begins at 6pm in Rhinelander.
Interested walkers are encouraged to sign up and take part in this
fun event. Entry, pledge forms, and other information about the walk
can be found online at

The cost to take part is a $50 donation to the American Cancer
Society. Walkers can also solicit donations from friends, family,
and co-workers for every mile walked.. Prizes will be given away to
those raising the most donations. Teams are encouraged to sign up.
The
organizers are also asking for help from area businesses that would
be willing to become a sponsor of the walk. Donation could include,
but not be limited to: financial donations, prizes, participant
prize packs, etc.
All
moneys raised will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
No matter
why you take part in the Walk for a Cure, one thing is clear: with
every step you take, you are helping the American Cancer Society
save lives. With your help, we aren’t just fighting one type of
cancer – we’re fighting for every birthday threatened by every
cancer in every community. Each person who shares the Walk for a
